Kansas law mandates automobile insurance

All car insurance policies issued in the State of Kansas must have coverage that meets or exceeds  the following requirements

  • Automobile Liability Insurance Policy
    Bodily Injury Insurance - split limit - 25000 per injured person  limit / 50000 per accident limit
    Property Damage Insurance - 25000 per accident

  • Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Policy
    $4,500/person for medical expenses
    $900/month for one year for disability/loss of income
    $25/day for in-home services
    $2,000 for funeral, burial or cremation expense
    $4,500 for rehabilitation expense
    Survivor Benefits: Disability/loss of income up to $900/month for one year
    In-home services up to $25/day for one year

  • Uninsured/Underinsured- split limit - $25,000 per person/ 50000 per accident limit
