The State of Kentucky requires auto insurance

The minimum coverage allowed is

Bodily Injury Insurance - split limit - 25000 per injured person  limit / 50000 per accident limit
Property Damage Insurance - 25000 per accident

It is unlawful in the State of Kentucky to sell a car insurance policy that does not meet these requirements.

The auto insurance laws in Kentucky require that a valid auto insurance card be in the operated vehicle at all times. The law also does not allow any grace period in the making of car insurance premiums although most insurers offer a payment plan your scheduled payments must be made on time.
