Minimum Insurance Requirements for operating an automobile in the State of Maryland

  • Automobile Liability Insurance Policy
    Bodily Injury Insurance - split limit - 20000 per injured person  limit / 40000 per accident limit
    Property Damage Insurance - 15000 per accident

  • Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Policy
    2500 for all reasonable expenses

  • Uninsured/Underinsured
     
    bodily injury insurance - split limit -$20,000 per person/ 40000 per accident limit
    Property Damage Insurance - 15000 per accident

All auto insurance policies must be purchased from an approved insurance company licensed to do business in the State Maryland, or an authorized agent of a licensed company. Licensing information must be provided upon request.
