Mississippi Auto Insurance

Mississippi law requires drivers meet minimum financial responsibility requirements.

The state of Mississippi defines minimum financial responsibility requirements being able to pay up to 10000 per injured person, up to 20000 per accident and 5000 for damage to the property of others

You may prove your ability to meet these financial responsibility requirement by:

Purchasing Auto Insurance with the following minimum coverage
Bodily Injury Insurance - split limit - 10000 per injured person  limit / 20000 per accident limit
Property Damage Insurance - 5000 per accident

Posting a surety bond for $35000

Making a cash security deposit to the State of Mississippi of $35000.

These state mandated minimums are extremely low, and you are urged to consider the risk of carrying insurance that only meets these Mississippi requirements.

You should also note that in spite of the state laws requiring financial responsibility it is estimated that 30% of the motorists in Mississippi are uninsured which may make you want to look into the purchase of uninsured motorists insurance. (UIM)
