You may prove financial responsibility
in New Mexico by any of the following methods:
Provide a surety bond for a minimum
of $60,000
Make a cash deposit to the State of
New Mexico of $60,000
Purchasing an auto insurance policy
with that meets or exceeds these limits,
Bodily Injury Insurance - split
limit - 25000 per injured person limit / 50000 per accident limit
Property Damage Insurance - 10000 per accident.
It is also
required that Uninsured Motorist Coverage be included in your car insurance policy but if you decide
you do not want this coverage, you may reject it, but this rejection must be
done in writing.
