Oregon Auto Insurance
Oregon law requires every vehicle to be covered by auto insurance.
Oregon’s mandatory auto insurance law requires that drivers have at least minimum
coverage:
Bodily Injury Insurance (BIL) - split
limit - 25000 per injured person limit / 50000 per accident limit
Property Damage Insurance (PDI) - 10000 per accident for the damage of
property to others
Personal injury protection (PIP)-This is Oregon’s version of no-fault auto
insurance. It covers you and your passengers, regardless of fault, for “reasonable and necessary”
medical services incurred within one year of an accident up to a maximum of $10,000.
PIP benefits also include partial (up to 70%)loss of earnings with a cap of
$1,250 per month, funeral expenses, essential services, and child care.
Uninsured/Underinsured motorist
bodily injury (UMBI) - split limit - $25,000 per person limit , $50,000 per
accident limit for bodily injury to you and your passengers caused by an
uninsured or underinsured driver.
