Oregon Auto Insurance

Oregon law requires every vehicle to be covered by auto insurance.

Oregon’s mandatory auto insurance law requires that drivers have at least minimum coverage:

Bodily Injury Insurance (BIL) - split limit - 25000 per injured person  limit / 50000 per accident limit
Property Damage Insurance (PDI)  - 10000 per accident for the damage of property to others

Personal injury protection (PIP)-This is Oregon’s version of no-fault auto insurance. It covers you and your passengers, regardless of fault, for “reasonable and necessary” medical services incurred within one year of an accident up to a maximum of $10,000. PIP benefits also include partial (up to 70%)loss of earnings with a cap of $1,250 per month, funeral expenses, essential services, and child care.

Uninsured/Underinsured motorist bodily injury (UMBI) - split limit - $25,000 per person limit , $50,000 per accident limit for bodily injury to you and your passengers caused by an uninsured or underinsured driver.

The State of Oregon urges you to review this coverage and consider raising your limits
