Washington Auto Insurance

Washington has mandatory auto insurance.

In the State of Washington an auto insurance policy must have limits of at least:
Bodily Injury Insurance - split limit - 25000 per injured person  limit / 50000 per accident limit
Property Damage Insurance - 10000 per accident

Self insurance will require a certificate of deposit for at least $60,000. You can make a deposit of collateral with the State Treasurer’s office or in a bank account set up for the state of Washington or;

A liability bond for at least $60,000. The bond must be filed by a surety bond company authorized to do business in this state.
